Transport links

mapSmíchov is very accessible, both from all the main motorway routes feeding in from around the whole of the Czech Republic, and from the airport thanks to the Strahov and Mrázovka tunnel system. Highway accessibility will be considerably improved after completion of the south circular to the southwest of Prague. Transport links, especially to the airport, will be fast and comfortable.

Visitors wanting to see the Old Town and Lesser Quarter can hop on a tram or bus, not to mention the Prague metro.

The Smíchov Centre, which is at the crossroads of many tram and bus routes and has its own metro station, is only a few minutes by foot from the RIVER TERRACE Hotel. In no time at all a guest will find themselves in the city centre, which will be visible from the upper floors of the hotel.

For hotel guests a very attractive way of getting to the centre of town will be by water taxi, which will offer a unique view of the embankment and its most valuable historical landmarks, such as the National Theatre, Charles Bridge or the panorama of Prague Castle.

Incoming tourists also have the possibility of using rail links by means of nearby Smíchov railway station. Lines lead out of the station along the picturesque banks of the river Berounka, which makes this the ideal way of visiting Karlštejn Castle, one of the best known Czech castles.
